Professional History
From 1984 to 2003 Dean Spearman was employed as manager of design services and as a contract administrator/manager in one of Manitoba’s premier landscape construction firms. During that time he managed their design services as well as was directly responsible for the construction (project management) of the first parks undertaken by the firm in the mid 1980’s. He played a central role as they came to dominate this aspect of the industry in the 1990’s. His credits include an extensive list of sporting facilities, a number of landscape remediation projects, many parks, as well as innumerable private residences.
In 2003 Dean Spearman founded Dean Spearman Landscape Architect to provide landscape architectural services to private, public and commercial clients.
Dean Spearman also brings to each project specific expertise in the use of computer modeling for visualization, conceptual design, and grading design. Is is an expert in the use of Vectorworks Landmark and has taught users in it use in Boston, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland Or., Orlando, Toronto and Vancouver.
Dean Spearman is a Past President of the Manitoba Association of Landscape Architects an has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects.
